Design for a hangout place for young people.
Design
Nothing is more fun than making a fire and sitting around it with friends. That was the starting point for the design. There are often complaints about loitering youths causing trouble, but lighting a few branches in an oversized ashtray in a safe way can’t do much harm. But even without the fire it is an excellent place to hang out and share tall tales. Fireproof concrete was used for the design. It is vandal-proof, easy to hose down, and not as cold to sit on as steel. The seating area extends all around the fire, so no one will be bothered by smoke. The double edge keeps the burning branches safely in place.
